Agrarian reforms are a process of redistribution of a country's agricultural resources. The aim of the work is to point out the importance and need of agrarian reforms in the social, economic and political context. Historical and analytical methods, as well as comparative methods, are used in the work, and agrarian reforms that were implemented in Imperial Russia, the Kingdom of SHS and the Federative People's Republic of Yugoslavia are taken into account. All the effects and results of these agrarian reforms were sublimated, with the general conclusion that they brought radical changes in the field of agricultural activity, taxation, lending, renting and the establishment of agricultural cooperatives.
